Modupe AdenekanPMHNP, Clinical Manager
Modupe O Adenekan resides in Maryland with her lovely family. She graduated from Walden University where she obtained her Master in Nursing as a Board-Certified Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner. Modupe Adenekan currently works as a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner in Outpatient Mental Health Facilities. Her hobbies are in educational pursuits and volunteering. Her clinical career has took her on a journey from Inpatient to Outpatient settings and managing the care of adults and children. Modupes passion is to be confident in her determination and judgement while she still maintains her goal.
At BK Behavioral Health Center, Modupe Adenekan dedicates her time to her patients and makes them a priority. Modupe helps organize treatment plans and works attentively with the therapist and nurses at our center to provide the best services to our patients.
Wakeelat Adeoye, MSN PMHNP-BC
Wakeelat Adeoye is a highly motivated and resourceful Nurse practitioner with years of experience in clinical settings providing mental health and psychiatric nursing care to diverse populations including serving at the National Institute of Health. A responsible CRNP-PMH-BC with excellent communication skills demonstrated by many years of experience in an inpatient psychiatric mental health. Her expertise includes an excellent leadership role in healthcare services.
As psychiatric mental health nurse practitioner, Wakeelat Adeoye, MSN, PMHNP-BC, brings experience in various mental health issues, and substance abuse treatment to BK Behavioral Health Center, servicing patients throughout the DMV areas. Wakeelat began her professional education at Trinity Washington University, earning her Bachelor of Science in nursing. Sooner after, Wakeelat enrolled at Walden University in MI, MN, completing her MSN (PMHNP), with a specialization in psychiatric mental health nurse practitioner.
Wakeelat is Nationally Board certified as a mental health nurse practitioner and is proudly certified by the American Nurse Credentialing Center. She has extensive experience and training in assessing, evaluating and treating clients across the life span. As a psychiatric mental health nurse practitioner at BK Behavioral Health Center, Wakeelat performs psychiatric evaluations, formulate diagnosis and treatment plans, works collaborate with therapists to coordinate patient care, and writes prescriptions as needed.
It is also important to consider the patient’s physical and nutritional status, resilience skills, and personal goals to optimize their psychological health. Wakeelat loves spending one-one time with her patient and she is passionate about supporting her patients in their journey to embracing their full potential and live holistic healthy lives.
Glenda Laurent Dickonson – PhD, LCPC, NCCLicensed Clinical Professional Counselor
Dr. Glenda Laurent Dickonson is a licensed clinical professional counselor with a passion for helping her clients on their journey to wellness. She embraces positive psychology and a growth-oriented, eclectic approach to treatment. Dr. Dickonson earned both her Ph.D. in Counselor Education and Supervision, and her MS in Pastoral Counseling from Loyola University Maryland. She also earned an MSEd. in Guidance and Counseling from Hunter College, City University of New York.
Dr. Dickonson is experienced in treating a range of mental health and behavioral issues and offers individual, couples, and group counseling, both face-to-face and via teletherapy. Her practice includes, but is not limited to treating mood disorders, trauma, bereavement, traumatic grief, anger, relationship, and self-esteem issues.
